Never Forsaken

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the Lord hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it. And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:6 - 8

God's has promised to all of those who believe that he will never leave them but will be with them every step of the way. Although many of us may forsake God, turn our back on him and give up on him but God will never leave us even when we have left him for other things, people, money, or the world.

Moses in this chapter of Deuteronomy 31 is speaking with Joshua telling him not to be afraid of what is ahead of him because God is with him. He asked him to be strong and of good courage. In order words, keep the faith and know that you are not in this alone for God is with you. Often time, we get so afraid of the things that we are facing in life that we forget God's promise to never leave us or forsake us that he is always there to help us on this Christian journey of faith. No matter what we are facing we must keep our focus of the Great I am (God) who always goes before us. He has already made a plan and made a way for us if only we would continue to believe.

God will not fail you nor forsake you for he is a God who stand by his word if he say it you must believe it. Many others will leave you for whatever reason and forget about you. But God loves you so much and because he loves you he will always be for you and always with you.
